“Etude de Concert in Eb” composed by Félix Godefroid and played by Mali Llywelyn on an Aoyama Monarch Grand Concert Harp. The Final of the 2002 London Harp Competition was held at the Guildhall School of Music, Barbican , London on Sunday 6th October, organized by Clive Morley Harps. Mali was the 2nd prize winner. The concert harp (also known as the pedal harp) is a large and technically modern harp, designed for classical music and played either solo, as part of chamber ensembles, or in a symphony orchestra. The pedal harp is a descendant of ancient harps and lyres. |
